Distinguish between connection-oriented and connection less protocols.

(i) In connection-oriented communication there is need to establish connection between source (sender) and destination (receiver) before data transfer.
(i) In connection less communication there is no need to establish connection between source (sender) and destination (receiver).
(ii) Connection-oriented communication is more reliable than connection less communication.
(ii) Connection less communication is less reliable than connection-oriented communication.
(iii) In connection-oriented communication information can be resend if there is an error in receiver side (missing data).
(iii) In connection less communication it is not possible because the destination does not inform the source about data is received or not.
(iv)Connection-oriented communication has higher overhead and place greater demands on bandwidth.
(iv) In connection less communication requires for less overhead than connection-oriented communication.
