Types of Kurtosis:

Generally kurtosis is of three types:

  (a). Mesokurtic.

  (b) Platykurtic.

  (c) Laptokurtic.

(a) Mesokurtic: The curve having intermediate peackedness is known as Mesokurtic.

(b) Platykurtic: The flat topped curve that is wider than the normal curve is known as platykurtic.

(c) Laptokurtic : The cylinder like, most packed curve is termed as leptokurtic. It process a keen head.
